The cost remains $49.95/person. Organizations purchasing multiple licenses may also qualify for group discount rates. Group rates are posted on the online training website.
No. We understand that organizations often buy licences in bulk for board training, and may take several years to use all the licences. For individuals purchases, while there is no expiry date, we do encourage people to finish the course to be able to put the ideas to use right away.
You will need a stable internet connection and a modern web browser. The LMS is accessible on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
The core Governance Essentials curriculum remains the same, but Sport Law is enhancing the learning experience with updated resources, new case examples, and improved interactivity for the 2026 relaunch.

Yes. If you need to reprint a certificate of completion you can do that through the CCES’s (now Integrity Sport Canada) site.
Governance Essentials is a self-paced online course. Participants typically take 2–4 hours to complete it, depending on their familiarity with governance concepts.
Yes. You are able to go in and out of the course and pick up where you left off in the event you are unable to complete it in one sitting.
Yes. Participants will be able to create a digital certificate of completion that can be downloaded, shared, and printed for organizational or professional development purposes.
